Tournament information and other competitions |

The club does host a number of commercial tournaments. We appreciate the support many of you have provided by booking your company or family events at the club. If you are planning such an event in 2011 please consider us as a possible site. Contact either Ellen or John to confirm availability and to discuss your needs. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 8:30 SATURDAY JULY 23 This 18 hole gross score event is only open to members of the club. Based on gender and handicaps members will play in different flights. Due to the number of members signing up this can be a long day, so plan accordingly. Hope to see you all out for this one. |

KING OF THE MOUNTAIN This is an optional event for those who participate in MENS NIGHT, offered during the month of May. This is a nine hole net score elimination event commencing on Thursday May 5th and is played in conjunction with the rest of the events held on a normal Mens Night. This is a cash prize event with money being paid to the top 4 players following the results of May 26th evening play. |

Iron Man Contest This event will consist of each player playing 18 holes on Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd. Each day's play will be divided into three, six hole match play events. Points will be awarded for each hole a player wins or ties and each match a player either wins or ties. The player who accumulates the most points over the two days of play will be declared the winner. At this time we would like to thank the Kenny Family for their continuing assistance in running this event. |

MATCH PLAY The annual match play competitions will be offered in 2011. Registration for this event closes on May 17th. The draw with dates for matches to be completed by will be posted on May 18th. We would remind potential participants that the success of this event requires those that do register to be willing and available to play in the designated time frames. The registration cost for this event is $5.00 per person. |

MEN'S LEAGUE For the 2011 season we will again be offering on Men's Night an additional program called Men's League, run during the months of June, July and August. Those who registered will be divided into teams based on handicaps. A team in 2011 will consist of eight players. Each night the teams will record their individual results using the Stableford system for scoring. The best two scores and the lowest two scores for each team for each week will be deleted and the middlescore will be deleted, if the team has only 6 players the 2 high scores will be deleted, if a team has 5 or less players jokers will be used to bring the team up to a minimum of 6 scores. Cash prizes will be given out monthly and overall to the teams able to score the highest number of points for each period. As a added bonus and to recognize good play the person with the highest score each Thursday will receive $10.00 Beckwith Bucks. In the event of a tie the pot will be held over to the next week or until there is an outright winner. This program will be run if registration is sufficiently high enough. Cost for the program is $20.00 payable in advance. Registration sheets have been posted and the team draw will be made prior to June 2nd. |

LADIES' & MEN'S NIGHT Wednesday night is Ladies Night and Thursday is Mens Night at Beckwith. We continue to average over 40 participants each night from early in May to the end of September for these fun filled event. For those who are either new to the club or looking for an evening out, a typical night commences with a 5:00 p.m. shot gun start, followed by a meal and prize presentation. Weekly prizes are given out for a number of events each week. They can include low nets, closest to the hole, longest drives, low gross, and high and low hidden holes. Registration is done weekly, and it is first come first served. For MEMBERS the cost per night is $14.00, for GREEN FEE PLAYERS the cost is $30.00. |

SATURDAY MORNING SKINS GAME This year, any Saturday there isn't a club event scheduled, Mike will be organizing a skins game with tee times starting at 8:00 A.M. This is a handicapped 18 hole event, and the cost to join is $5.00 per week. This event is open to both male and female members or green fee players with a registered handicap. A registration sheet will be posted to ensure sufficient tee times are booked. . |

SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 9:00 AM SHOT GUN START TUESDAY AUGUST 23 This tournament is open only to Members of the Club who are 60 years of age or greater. This is a 18 hole gross and net score event. Flights are divided into 60-69 and 70 plus for both ladies and men. At the conclusion of the game a light lunch will be served followed by prize presentation. If you qualify, this is an event not to miss. Monday Morning Retirees League A number of retirees have requested we arrange a Monday morning mixed fun league. The format has not be confirmed at this time however we expect to keep cost to the minimum and fun to the maximum for those who choose to participate. Watch for further information. |

FATHERS DAY TOURNAMENT Dad vs their Daughters or Sons The second annual Fathers Day Tournament will be held on Sunday June 19th. This tournament is open to all Fathers, be you 24 or 104. Your opponent(s) can be a Daughter, Daughter in Law, Son or Son in Law again any age be it 8 to 80. The format is one Father vs one or more Children (maximum of 3) in a low net score for 18 holes. In matches where there are multiple children the father will compete individually against each child. Participants without a handicap will use the Atlantic Handicap system. Families where two or more children wishing to participate can also enlist a proxy Father. Fathers were triumphant last year; who will win this year? A great way to start Fathers Day |
